എണ്ണ ഉല്‍പ്പാദനത്തില്‍ ഈ വര്‍ഷം തന്നെ അമേരിക്ക സൗദിയെയും, റഷ്യയെയും പിന്നിലാക്കുമെന്ന് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ഊര്‍ജ ഏജന്‍സിയുടെതാണ് ഈ റിപ്പോര്‍്ട്ട്.നിലവില്‍ ദിനംപ്രതി 99ലക്ഷം വീപ്പ എണ്ണയാണ് യു.എസ്. ഉത്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. അമ്പതാണ്ടിനിടെയിലെ ഏറ്റവുംഉയര്‍ന്ന തോതാണിത്. ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ മുന്നോട്ടുപോയാല്‍ ഇക്കൊല്ലം ദിവസം ഒരുകോടി വീപ്പയിലേറെ എണ്ണ ഉത്പാദിപ്പിക്കും. ഇതോടെ സൗദി മൂന്നാംസ്ഥാനത്തേക്ക് തള്ളപ്പെടും. റഷ്യയും യു.എസുമായുള്ള മത്സരം മുറുകും. 2014ല്‍ ഇടിഞ്ഞ അസംസ്‌കൃത എണ്ണവില ഇപ്പോള്‍ വീപ്പയ്ക്ക് 70 ഡോളര്‍ (4,468 രൂപ) എന്നനിലയില്‍ മെച്ചപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. എണ്ണവില ഉയരുന്നതിനാല്‍ അമേരിക്ക ഉല്‍പ്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഷെയ്ല്‍ എണ്ണയോടുള്ള താത്പര്യം കൂട്ടി. എണ്ണവില കുറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ ഒപെക് രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍ ഉത്പാദനം കുറച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതില്‍ അംഗമല്ലാത്ത യു.എസ്. ഷെയ്ല്‍ എണ്ണയുടെ ഉത്പാദനം തുടര്‍ന്നു.ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ ഒപെക്കും ഇതില്‍ അംഗങ്ങളല്ലാത്ത എണ്ണയുത്പാദകരാജ്യങ്ങളും തമ്മിലുള്ള സംഘര്‍ഷം നിലനില്‍ക്കും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് പറയുന്നു.
