പ്രമുഖ ബോളിവുഡ് താരങ്ങളായ സല്‍മാനും രവീണ ടണ്ടനെയും അണിനിരത്തി ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ പരസ്യങ്ങള്‍ റോട്ടോമാക്കിന്റേതായി പുറത്തുവന്നിരുന്നു. വാജ്‌പേയി സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ കാലത്ത് മികച്ച കയറ്റുമതിക്കാരനുള്ള പുരസ്‌കാരം കോത്താരി നേടിയിരുന്നു.

പഞ്ചാബ് നാഷ്ണല്‍ ബാങ്കില്‍ നിന്നും ബയേഴ്‌സ് ക്രെഡിറ്റിലൂടെ കോടികള്‍ തട്ടി മുങ്ങിയ നീരവ് മോദിയ്ക്ക് പിന്നാലെ പൊതുമേഖലാ ബാങ്കില്‍ നിന്നും റോട്ടോമാക് പെന്‍സ് കമ്പനി ഉടമ വിക്രം കോത്താരിയാണ് തട്ടിപ്പ് നടത്തിയത്. വിവിധി പൊതു മേഖലാ ബാങ്കുകളില്‍ നിന്ന് 800 കോടി രൂപ കോതാരി തട്ടിയെടുത്തതായാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്.കോതാരിക്കെതിരെ കേസ് രജിസ്ഥര്‍ ചെയ്ത സിബിഐ അന്വേഷണവുമായി മുന്നോട്ടു പോകുകയാണ്.യൂണിയന്‍ ബാങ്കില്‍ നിന്നും 485 കോടിയും അലഹാബാദ് ബാങ്കില്‍ നിന്നും 352 കോടിയും ആണ് തട്ടിച്ചത്.വായ്പയെടുത്തിട്ടും പലിശയോടെ മുതലോ അടയ്ക്കാതെ വന്നതോടെയാണ് തട്ടിപ്പ് കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.കോതാരി രാജ്യംവിട്ടെന്നായിരുന്നു ആദ്യം വന്ന റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍.എന്നാല്‍ താന്‍ കാണ്‍പൂരിലുണ്ടെന്നും ബാങ്കുകളുംായി ചര്‍ച്ച നടക്കുന്നതായും കോതാരി അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു.പിന്നാലെയാണ് സിബിഐ അറസ്റ്റ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത്.കോതാരിയുടെ ആസ്ഥികള് വിറ്റെങ്കിലും പണകണ്ടെത്താമെന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയിലാണ് ബാങ്കുകള്‍
