നാം മഹാശിവരാത്രി ആഘോഷിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മണലില്‍ ശിവലിംഗങ്ങളൊരുക്കി സുദര്ശന് പട്‌നായിക്.ഒന്നും രണ്ടുമല്ല 108 മണല് ശിവലിംഗങ്ങളാണ് ഒരുക്കിയത്. ഒറീസയിലെ പുരി ബീച്ചിലാണ് പട്‌നായിക് മനോഹരമായ ശില്‍പങ്ങള്‍ തീര്‍ത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ലോക സാമാധാനത്തിനായാണ് ഈ ശില്‍പങ്ങള്‍ എന്നും അദ്ദേഹം എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.8 മണിക്കൂറോളം സമയമെടുത്താണ് ഈ മണല് വിരുന്ന് സുദര്ശന് പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കിയത്.
5 അടി ഉയരമുള്ള ശിവ രൂപവും അതിനെ ചുറ്റി രണ്ട് അടി ഉയരത്തിലുള്ള ശില ലിംഗങ്ങളുമാണ് പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കിയത്.സുദര്ശന് ഒപ്പം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളും സഹായിക്കാനെത്തി.രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നായി ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് തീര്‍ത്ഥാടകരാണ് ശിവരാത്രിനാളില്‍ പുരിയിലെത്തുന്നത്.
