കേരള നിയമസഭയ്ക്കു ചരിത്രത്തിലെ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ നാണക്കേടുണ്ടാക്കിയ ബജറ്റ് കയ്യാങ്കളിക്കേസ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പിന്‍വലിച്ചു. വി ശിവന്‍കുട്ടി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിക്ക് നല്‍കിയ കത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലായിരുന്നു നടപടി. കെഎം മാണിയുടെ ബജറ്റവതരണ ദിനത്തിലെ കയ്യാങ്കളി കേസാണ് ഇതോടെ ഇല്ലാതായത്. സഭയില്‍ ഭരണപക്ഷത്തെ കായികമായി നേരിട്ട ആറ് ഇടത് നേതാക്കള്‍ക്കെതിരായ കേസാണ് പിന്‍വലിച്ചത്. എല്‍ഡിഎഫ് അംഗങ്ങളായ വി ശിവന്‍കുട്ടി, ഇപി ജയരാജന്‍, കെടി ജലീല്‍, കെ അജിത്, സികെ സദാശിവന്‍, കുഞ്ഞഹമ്മദ് മാസ്റ്റര്‍ എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു കേസിലെ പ്രതികള്‍. സ്പീക്കറിന്റെ ഡയസിലെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളും ഫര്‍ണിച്ചറുകളുമടക്കം രണ്ട് ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ പൊതുമുതല്‍ നശിപ്പിച്ചുവെന്നായിരുന്നു കേസ്.
