As we hold the responsibility as a Government at the Centre, the state government also has some responsibility. I want to ask the BJP government here why have not the government increase the limit of LPG cylinders to a family from 6 to 9. This is what our Congress government has done in the states ruled by us. Why has the Karnataka Government not reduced the VAT on diesel, just like our Congress led governments have done? So it is very easy to criticize others but what about you (the state government), what are you doing to reduce the hardships of your people? It was from this pious land of Saints, Maharshi Valmiki had written Ramayana, which taught us the values of peace and love and is still relevant for all of us. This land is famous for its cultural and social harmony and the people here have always protected the Ganga-Yamuna culture. We must continue our fight to maintain these social values.
Congress has made many sacrifices to protect and maintain the unity and integrity of our country. But the BJP raises fingers against the integrity and honesty of our leaders. They want all people who do not believe in its ideology should leave the country. I want to tell BJP and its associates that blood of all Congress workers are mixed with the soil of India and BJP leaders, who never believe in our rich culture of brotherhood and kindness, must clearly understand that their divisive ideology can never succeed when Congress worker are alive here.
We must fight any such forces which harm the secular, democratic culture of our country. We also must be vigilant against other forces like JD-U also which frequently change colours just to grab power.
