Super star Demi Lovato's father passes away over the weekend and CLevverTV has the detailed report. The 20 year old star's biological father, Patrick Lovato, died after a long battle with cancer, and Demi spoke out via twitter to confirm the sad news, thanking her fans, friends, family, and even complete strangers for their support. In the past, Demi has spoken out about not having contact with her father. Patrick Lovato, who was a sound engineer at one point, and Demi's mom, Dianna De La Garza, divorced in 1994. In 2009, the singer noted that they hadn't talked in 2 years, adding that QUOTE 'when somebody lets you down after you've been the only one there for them, and so many times, you don't know what else to do.'
