-Atrocities against minorities, Dalits, and other marginalised communities have risen sharply under the Modi Govt, but no concrete action has been taken.
-The Modi Govt has failed to prevent dilution of the SC/ST Act and has no interest in the welfare of Dalits or minorities.
-The Supreme Court judgment on the SC/ST Act has rendered it ineffective. Former PM Rajiv Gandhi had taken several efforts to bring laws & reforms to protect the Dalits, which were further strengthened consistently through amendments.
-Under the leadership of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, a memorandum was submitted to the President seeking his intervention to prevent the dilution of the SC/ST Act. We thank him for his positive response.
