    ആള്‍മാറാട്ടം നടത്തി ഒരാള്‍ക്കും സംശയത്തിനിടനല്‍കാതെ പിടിച്ചുനിന്നത് 15 വര്‍ഷം. പക്ഷെ ഒറ്റ ഫോണ്‍ കാളില്‍ നാടകം എല്ലാം പൊളിഞ്ഞു. പിടിയിലായത് വര്‍ഷങ്ങളായി അന്വേഷണം നടത്തികൊണ്ടിരുന്ന കൊലക്കേസിലെ പ്രതി .തൃശൂര്‍ സ്വദേശികളായ കൃഷ്ണന്‍-യാമിനി ദമ്പതികളുടെ മകളും ബാങ്ക് ജീവനക്കാരിയുമായിരുന്ന സജിനി(26)യെ 2003 ഫെബ്രുവരി 14നാണ് അഹമ്മബദാബാദിലെ വീട്ടില്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടനിലയില്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. കാമുകിയോടൊപ്പം ജീവിക്കാനായി ഭര്‍ത്താവ് തരുണ്‍ ജിന്‍രാജ് ഭാര്യയെ ശ്വാസംമുട്ടിച്ച് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ കവര്‍ച്ചാശ്രമത്തിനിടെ സജിനി കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടെന്ന് വരുത്തിതീര്‍ക്കാനായിരുന്നു ഇയാള്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചത്. വീട്ടിലെ സാധനങ്ങളെല്ലാം വലിച്ചുവാരിയിട്ട് കവര്‍ച്ച നടന്നതിന് തെളിവുണ്ടാക്കാനും ശ്രമിച്ചു. പക്ഷേ, സജിനിയുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെയും പോലീസിന്റെയും സംശയം കായികാധ്യാപകനായ തരുണിലേക്ക് നീണ്ടതോടെ ഇയാള്‍ അഹമ്മദാബാദില്‍നിന്നും മുങ്ങി. പ്രതി മുങ്ങിയതോടെ അന്വേഷണംനിലച്ച സജിനി കൊലക്കേസ് 2012-ലാണ് അഹമ്മദാബാദ് ക്രൈംബ്രാഞ്ച് വീണ്ടും പൊടിതട്ടിയെടുക്കുന്നത്.തരുനിന്റെ അമ്മ അന്നമ്മയെ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് തുടങ്ങിയ അന്വേഷണത്തില്‍ യാതൊരും തുമ്പും ലഭിക്കാതെ പോലീസ് സംഘം കുഴങ്ങി. ഇതിനിടെ അന്നമ്മയുടെ ബെംഗളൂരു യാത്രകള്‍ ശ്രദ്ധയില്‍പ്പെട്ടത് നിര്‍ണായകമായി.അന്നമ്മയുടെ ഫോണ്‍കോളുകള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം ഇവരുടെ ബെംഗളൂരു യാത്രയും കേസന്വേഷണത്തില്‍ നിര്‍ണായക വഴിത്തിരിവായി. പ്രവീണ്‍ ഭട്ട്‌ലെ എന്നാ പേരില്‍ ഐ ടി കമ്പനിയിലെ ഉയര്‍ന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനായി ജീവിക്കുകയായിരുന്ന തരുനിനെ ഒടുവില്‍ അന്വേഷ്സ്ന സംഘം കയ്യോടെ പിടികൂടി 15 വര്‍ഷം എല്ലാവരെയും കബളിപ്പിച്ച് പാവം ഓഫീസറെന്ന് അറിയിപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന തരുണ്‍ ജിന്‍രാജ് അഴിക്കുള്ളിലേക്ക്.
