दरअसल गुरुवार दोपहर को जीटीबी नगर मेट्रो स्टेशन में इस बुजुर्ग ने इंट्री की थी और प्लेटफार्म पर पहुंचा बुजुर्ग का नाम बनारसीदास है जिनकी उम्र 74 साल है। ये दिल्ली के आदर्श नगर के आचार्य कृपलानी रोड के रहने वाले हैं । जैसे ही मेट्रो ट्रेन आई इस बुजुर्ग ने उसके आगे छलांग लगा दी जिसमें इनको गंभीर चोटें आई। तुरंत वहां सुरक्षा में मौजूद सुरक्षाकर्मी बनारसी दास को प्राथमिक उपचार देते हुए बाहर लेकर आए तब तक वहां पर कैट्स एंबुलेंस पहुंच चुकी थी। कैट्स एंबुलेंस इन्हें तुरन्त प्राथमिक उपचार देते हुए जहांगीरपुरी के बाबू जगजीवन राम अस्पताल लेकर आई लेकिन बुजुर्ग को चोट काफी ज्यादा थी, शरीर का काफी हिस्सा पूरी तरह से टूट चुका था डॉक्टर इस बुजुर्ग को नहीं बचा पाई और ईनकी मौत हो गई।

एकबार फिर मेट्रो स्टेशन पर हादसा हुआ और मेट्रो स्टेशन पर संदिग्ध रिस्थिति में एक शख्स मेट्रो ट्रैक पर गिर पड़ा इसी बीच मेट्रो आ गयी और वो शख्स वही पर कट गया बाद में मेट्रो खाली कराने के बाद उसे हटवाकर बॉडी को निकाला गया फिलहाल शख्स पहचान नहीं हो पायी है। मौजूद लोगो का कहना था ये शख्स गलती से ट्रेक पर गिरा है जिसमे मेट्रो प्रशासन जिमेदार है।
मेट्रो ट्रेन को हटाकर डेड बॉडी को निकाला गया और पोस्ट मार्टम के भेज दिया गया, शरीर के कई हिस्से कट गए थे, फ़िलहाल शख्स की पहचान नहीं हो पायी है घटना के बाद आधे घंटे तक दोनों रुट पर मेट्रो सेवा बाधित रही।
