Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi addressed a mammoth election rally at Kharhibhardar ground in Kanker at Balod as part of his Lok Sabha polls campaign in the state of Chhattisgarh. 'In the past ten years the Congress-led UPA government took various steps to help our farmers, the poor and downtrodden. We waived off loans worth Rs 70000 crore of the poor farmers; opened the doors of the banks for them. When we were initiating these, the BJP tried to block it by asking from where we will have money for it. When we arranged financial resources for it they again opposed it by saying that we were wasting money,' said Rahul Gandhi.

एक तरफ देश में नोटबंदी को लेकर कोहराम मचा है..तो वहीं दूसरी तरफ एक चौकाने वाली खबर सामने आई है...कि एस.बी.आई. ने शराब कारोबारी विजय माल्या समेत 63 कर्जदारों के करीब 7000 करोड़ रुपए के लोन को डूबा हुआ मान लिया है...एस.बी.आई. का कहना है कि माल्या उसका लोन चुकाने की स्थिति में नहीं हैं, इसलिए बैंक ने माल्या के लोन को डूबा हुआ मान लिया है..आपको बता दें कि 63 डिफाल्टरों की ये राशि कुल 100 डिफाल्टरों का 80 फीसदी है। यह छूट बैंक की प्रक्रिया बैड लोन के अंतर्गत की गई है। सभी कंपनियों को बैंक ने विलफुल डिफॉल्टर घोषित कर दिया है।...वहीं, आज ये मुद्दा राज्यसभा में भी उछला...सीपीएम नेता सीताराम येचुरी ने मोदी सरकार पर हमला करते हुए कहा कि एक तरफ सरकार ब्लैकमनी पर रोक लगाने के नाम पर नोटों को बंद कर रही है, वहीं माल्या जैसे डिफॉल्टरों का कर्ज माफ किया जा रहा है...जिसके जवाब में वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने कहा कि माल्या के कर्ज को माफ नहीं किया गया, बल्कि राइट ऑफ किया गया है। जेटली ने कहा कि किसी भी लोन को राइट ऑफ करने का अर्थ बैंक द्वारा किसी संपत्ति को आय का स्रोत न मानने से होता है...वहीं दूसरी तरफ इस मुद्दे पर दिल्ली के सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने सरकार पर निशाना साधते हुए ट्वीट किया, कि 'यही डर था-लोगों की खून पसीने की कमाई बैंकों में जमा कराके ये अरबपतियों के लोन माफ कर देंगे...ये लो इन्होंने तो शुरू भी कर दिया।'

తొలి విడతలో రూ.1లక్షలోపు రుణాలు మాఫీ, రెండో విడతలో రూ.1.50లక్షల లోపు రుణాల మాఫీ కింద 12 రోజుల వ్యవధిలోనే లక్షల మంది రైతుల ఖాతాల్లోకి రూ.12,224 కోట్లను జమ చేశామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్రకటించారు. శాసనసభ ప్రాంగణంలో మంగళవారం రెండో విడత రుణమాఫీకి సంబంధించిన చెక్కును రైతుల చేతికి సీఎం అందజేశారు. మంగళవారం మధ్యాహ్నం 12 గంటల నుంచే రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా రైతుల ఖాతాల్లోకి రుణమాఫీ నిధులు జమ అయ్యే ప్రక్రియ ప్రారంభమైంది.
మాట ఇచ్చిన విధంగా ఆగస్టులోనే మూడో విడత చేపట్టి మొత్తం రూ.31వేల కోట్ల రుణమాఫీ ప్రక్రియను పూర్తిచేస్తామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి తెలిపారు. దేశ చరిత్రలో ఏ రాష్ట్రం కూడా ఇంత స్వల్ప వ్యవధిలో ఇంత పెద్ద మొత్తంలో రైతులకు రుణమాఫీ చేయలేదని, ఆ ఘనత తెలంగాణ ప్రజాప్రభుత్వానికే దక్కడం గర్వంగా ఉందని సీఎం అన్నారు.
