Shankaracharya, who lived in the 8th century AD, was a renowned scholar and icon of Hinduism. Hailing from Kerala, it is said that by the age of 12 he had internalised the core teachings of Advaita and later journeyed across India to understand the culture and knowledge of this country. The film traces the times that Adi Shankaracharya
spent in Kashmir. He visited Kashmir several times and later proceeded on foot to the temple of Lord Shiva. People named the temple after him as he lived in a cave nearby and meditated in the tranquil and peaceful surroundings.
