The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the top gainer in the 2018 Rajya Sabha elections held for 59 seats across 16 states. The high point of course was winning the additional seat in Uttar Pradesh, taking its tally to nine. This led to the loss of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) which was expected to win its lone seat in alliance with the Samajwadi Party (SP). Watch this video to know more.
