गुजरात सरकार ने संजय लीला भंसाली की फिल्म पद्मावत (पद्मावती) को राज्य में रिलीज करने की अनुमति नहीं देने का फैसला लिया है। मुख्यमंत्री विजय रूपाणी ने आज यहां एक कार्यक्रम के दौरान पत्रकारों को यह जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार ने नवंबर माह में तब पद्मावती नाम वाली इस फिल्म को सामाजिक सद्भाव बनाये रखने के लिए गुजरात में प्रदर्शित नहीं करने की अनुमति दी थी। इसके प्रदर्शन पर प्रतिबंध का यह आदेश आगे भी जारी रहेगा। इससे पहले फिल्म का नाम बदलने और दीपिका पादुकोण के विवादास्पद घूमर नृत्य में बदलाव समेत कुछ अन्य बदलावों के बाद सेंसर बोर्ड ने इस फिल्म को रिलीज की अनुमति दे दी है। इसके देश भर में 25 जनवरी को रिलीज किया जाना है। गुजरात से पहले राजस्थान और मध्य प्रदेश ने भी इसकी रिलीज पर बैन लगा दिया है। बता दें कि सुल्तान अलाउद्दीन खिलजी और राजपूत रानी पद्मावती की ऐतिहासिक कथा पर आधारित इस फिल्म का राजपूत करणी सेना समेत कई संगठन विरोध कर रहे हैं। करणी सेना ने तो इसे प्रदर्शित करने पर सिनेमा घरों पर हिंसक प्रदर्शन की चेतावनी भी दी है।
