    രണ്ട് ബഹിരാകാശ സഞ്ചാരികളുമായി പോയ റഷ്യയുടെ സോയുസ് പേടകം സാങ്കേതിക തകരാറിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് അടിയന്തരമായി നിലത്തിറക്കി. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ബഹിരാകാശ സ്റ്റേഷനിലേക്കു തിരിച്ച റഷ്യയുടെ സോയൂസ് പേടകത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന റഷ്യയുടെ അലക്‌സി ഒവ്ചിനിനും അമേരിക്കയുടെ നിക് ഹേഗും സുരക്ഷിതരാണ്.കസാക്കിസ്ഥാനിലെ ബൈക്കനൂരില്‍നിന്ന് വ്യാഴാഴ്ച തിരിച്ച സോയൂസ് ആറു മണിക്കൂറിനകം ബഹിരാകാശ സ്റ്റേഷനിലെത്തേണ്ടതായിരുന്നു. പേടകത്തെ മുകളിലേക്കു തള്ളുന്ന ബൂസ്റ്റര്‍ റോക്കറ്റിനുണ്ടായ തകരാറാണ് തടസം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്. പേടകം അടിയന്തരമായി നിലത്തിറങ്ങിയെന്നാണു പറയുന്നതെങ്കിലും ഒരര്‍ഥത്തില്‍ നേരേ താഴേക്കു വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു. സംഭവത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് റഷ്യന്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അന്വേഷണം തുടങ്ങി- അന്വേഷണം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാകുന്നതുവരെ ബഹിരാകാശ യാത്രകള്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിവയ്ക്കുമെന്ന് റഷ്യന്‍ ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി യൂറി ബോറിസോവ് അറിയിച്ചു.സെന്‍ട്രല്‍ കസാക്കിസ്ഥാനിലെ സെസ്‌കസ്ഥാനിലാണ് പേടകം ഇറങ്ങിയത്. ഉടന്‍തന്നെ മേഖലയിലേക്ക് നാലു ഹെലികോപ്റ്ററുകളില്‍ സൈനികരെ അയച്ചു. സഞ്ചാരികളെ സുരക്ഷിതമായി പേടകത്തിനു പുറത്തിറക്കി. പേടകം സുരക്ഷിതമായി നിലത്തിറങ്ങിയെന്നും സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്കു പരിക്കില്ലെന്നും റഷ്യന്‍ ബഹിരാകശ ഏജന്‍സി റോസ്‌കോമോസും അമേരിക്കയിലെ നാസായും അറിയിച്ചു. ബഹിരാകാശ സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ സുരക്ഷിതരാണെന്നതാണ് പ്രധാന കാര്യമെന്നും ദൈവത്തിനു നന്ദി പറയുന്നതായും പ്രസിഡന്റ് വ്‌ലാദിമിര്‍ പുടിന്റെ വക്താവ് ദിമിത്രി പെസ്‌കോവ് പറഞ്ഞു.
