Continuing its aggressive tactics, Reliance Jio announced the launch of a new offer in order to compete with its competitors. Under the offer, new customers signing up to buy Jio-fi will be get a cashback of Rs 500. This cashback is, however available only for Postpaid customers.

Jio, said in a statement, that the offer will be on sale from July 3, 2018. The cashback of Rs. 500 will be credited in the postpaid account of the customer on payment of monthly bills for 12 consecutive months.

In September last year, Jio had slashed the prices of Jio-fi from Rs 1,999 to 999. For the uninitiated, Jio recently launched a postpaid plan of Rs. 199 which offers 25GB 4G data, unlimited calling and 100 SMSes per day along with International calling at 50p/min for certain countries.

Jio, in June, had announced an additional 1.5GB data per day on all packs. Effectively, this meant that all the packs priced between Rs. 149 and Rs. 799 offered 1.5GB data extra per day for the entire validity period. Jio intensified the tariff war in the postpaid segment when it forayed into the segment in May this year offering same benefits as its incumbents at almost half the price-- -- -- -- -- ---- ----- --- --- --------------- ---
