सांगानेर मार्ग पर सिंदरी के बालाजी के निकट आकोला गांव के बाहर सोमवार को ट्रक की टक्कर से बाइक सवार युवक की मौत हो गई तथा काका घायल हो गया। हादसे के बाद गुस्साए लोगों ने ट्रक में आग लगाने का प्रयास किया तथा ट्रक में जमकर तोडफ़ोड़ की।जानकारी के अनुसार श्रीनगर निवासी गोपाल पुत्र अमरा अपने भतीजे रमेश के साथ आकोला से श्रीनगर बाइक से लौट रहा था।दोनों गांवों के बीच श्रीनगर की ओर से आए ट्रक ने बाइक को टक्कर मार दी।ट्रक के नीचे कुचलने से रमेश की मौत हो गई जबकि काका गोपाल गंभीर घायल हो गया।हादसे के बाद ट्रक चालक मौके से फरार हो गया।आस-पास खेतों में काम कर रहे ग्रामीण मौके पर पहुंचे गुस्साए ग्रामीणों ने ट्रक में जमकर तोडफ़ोड़ की तथा ट्रक को आग लगाने का प्रयास किया।सूचना पर सदर थाना पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची तथा ग्रामीणों को समझाया। ग्रामीण शव का मौके पर ही पोस्टमार्टम कराने पर अड़ गए।शव का मौके पर ही पोस्टमार्टम करवाया गया।पुलिस ने ट्रक चालक के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू की।

भीलवाडा शहर में भी नववर्ष की पहली सुबह कोहरे की चादर में लिपटी रही। सुबह 10 बज जाने के बावजूद अधिकांश हिस्सा कोहरे की चादर में लिपटा रहा इससे परिवहन सेवा बाधित हुई है। हलाकि की रविवार को स्कूलों में छुट्टियां होने से बच्चों को राहत मिली है। वहीं रविवार होने से कर्मचारियों व व्यवसायिक वर्ग देर तक घर में दुबके रहे। वाहन चालकों को कोहरे से निपटने के लिए हेड लाइट का उपयोग करना पड़ रहा है। शहर के साथ ही जिलेभर में कोहरा रहा।मांडलगढ़ क्षेत्र में अलसुबह से ही कोहरा छाया रहा। जिससे वाहन चालकों को परेशानी हुई। ठण्ड से बचने के लिए लोग कई जगहों पर अलाव का सहारा लेते नजर आए। लोग ऊनी वस्त्रों में सिमटे रहे।
