The Finance minister has raised the income-tax exemption limit to Rs 2 lakh from Rs 1,80,000. No tax will be charged for income upto Rs 2 lakh. A tax of 10% will be charged for income between Rs 2-5 lakh, while 20% will be charged for income between 5-10 lakh and 30% will be charged above 10 lakh. The finance minister has however left the corporate tax unchanged.

നികുതിയൊഴിവ് പരിധി ഉയര്‍ത്തുന്നത് ഉള്‍പ്പടെയുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ പരിഗണിക്കുമെന്നാണ് അറിയുന്നത്.ആദായ നികുതി ഒഴിവ് പരിധി 2.5 ലക്ഷത്തില്‍നിന്ന് അഞ്ച് ലക്ഷമായി ഉയര്‍ത്തിയേക്കാം. അതല്ലെങ്കില്‍ കുറഞ്ഞത് മൂന്ന് ലക്ഷം രൂപയായി പരിധി നിശ്ചയിച്ചേക്കുമെന്നും വിലയിരുത്തലുണ്ട്.രാജ്യത്തെ പണപ്പെരുപ്പ നിരക്കുകള്‍ വര്‍ധിക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ നികുതി സ്ലാബ് ഉയര്‍ത്തുന്നകാര്യം കാര്യമായിത്തന്നെ പരിഗണിക്കുമെന്നാണറിയുന്നത്. മധ്യവര്‍ഗക്കാര്‍ക്ക്, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ശമ്പള വരുമാനക്കാര്‍ക്കായിരിക്കും ഇതിന്റെ ഗുണം ലഭിക്കുക.
