दिल्ली के बुराड़ी में सुप्रसिद्ध कवि मैथिल कोकिल विद्यापति को मैथिली समाज ने याद किया ।
देश की राजधानी दिल्ली में सुप्रसिद्ध मैथिल कवि विद्यापति जी की पुण्यतिथि पर उन्हें मैथिली समाज द्वारा याद करते हुए दिल्ली के बुराड़ी में एक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया जिसमें मैथिली समाज द्वारा अपने संस्कारों और संस्कृति को लोगों के सामने प्रस्तुत कर आने वाली और मौजूदा पीढ़ी को रूबरू कराना था।
इस कार्यक्रम में कई राजनीतिक हस्तियों सहित हज़ारो लोगो ने हिस्सा लिया और अपनी श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित किए। कार्यक्रम दिल्ली के बुराड़ी में आयोजित किया गया, जहां पर बीजेपी के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष एवम सांसद प्रभात झा पहुँचे और पूजनीय विद्यापति जी को याद करते हुए उनकी उप्लब्धियाँ आदि मीडिया को बताई। और कार्यक्रम की तारीफ करते हुए मैथील भाषा और संस्कृति के बारे में भी बताया की किस तरह से मिथला जोकि माता सीता जी की जन्मभूमि है।
वही कार्यक्रम में देखते ही देखते आम लोगो की भीड़ भी सैकड़ो से हज़ारो की हो गयी और कार्यक्रम के आयोजकों ने बताया के वो बुराड़ी में पिछले 10 वर्षों से इस कार्यक्रम को लगातार करते आ रहे हैं और आगे भी इसे ओर भी बड़े स्तर पर करेंगे, साथ ही यहां पर मिथिला भाषा और संस्कृति को मैथली में ही कई नृत्य, गायन व संस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का भी भाव मंचन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम के आजोजन का मुख्य उद्देश्य मैथिली भाषा, संस्कार और संस्कृति को जीवित रखना और युवा पीढ़ी को अपनी हज़ारो साल पुरानी परंपराओं से अवगत कराना है ताकि उन्हें भी गर्व हो सके कि हम किस समाज से हैं। आयोजको ने सरकार से स्कूलों में मौजूद पाठ्यक्रम में भी मैथिली भाषा को विकल्प के रूप में शामिल करने की मांग की है।
