भारत अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधाना संगठन यानी ISRO इन दिनों अपने महत्वाकांक्षी चंद्र अभियान ‘चंद्रयान-2’ की तैयारी में जुटा है। हालांकि कुछ कारणों से इसका प्रक्षेपण अप्रैल-मई से खिसक कर अक्टूबर पहुंच गया है। जानकारी के मुताबिक ISRO अब ‘चंद्रयान-2’ का प्रक्षेपण अक्टूबर के पहले सप्ताह में होगा।चन्द्रयान-2 पूर्ण रूप से स्वदेश में विकसित मिशन है। इस अंतरिक्ष यान का वजन करीब 3,290 किलोग्राम है
