जनपद शामली के विकासखंड कांधला के गांव खेड़ा कुर्तान में दर्जनों किसानों ने तोल केंद्र पर शुगर मिल एवं कर्मचारियों पर किसानों के उत्पीड़न का आरोप लगाते हुए केंद्र सरकार और प्रदेश सरकार एवं जिले के गन्ना मंत्री से शिकायत ही पत्र भेजकर तोल केंद्र को चालू कराने की मांग की है..एक तरफ तो प्रदेश सरकार और केंद्र सरकार किसानों के हित के लिए अनेकों योजना निकाल कर करोड़ों रुपए खर्च कर रही है और आदेश कर रही है कि किसानों का उत्पीड़न किसी भी कीमत पर ना किया जाए लेकिन शुगर मिल एवं उनके कर्मचारी किसानों का लगातार उत्पीड़न कर रहे हैं
