Before elections, Shri Modi made ceasefire violations an election issue. In an attempt to score political points he made lengthy speeches and told people that he would put a stop to all that. However, Shri Modi's tenure has given India a big reason to worry. There have been a staggering 500 plus ceasefire violations on the International Border and the Line of Control since he came to power, 424 of them happening between August and November itself. Fourteen of our brave soldiers lost their lives, 12 civilians were killed and 90 others suffered grievous injuries.
Now, when TV channels ask BJP leaders for an answer, the reply they get is - what can we do. It is the same indifference and arrogance which Shri Jaitley exhibited a couple of days back in Parliament when he said that since BJP won the elections it doesn't matter if the opposition chooses to criticize them.

The opposition National Conference and Congress members today staged a walkout from the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly over the alleged failure of the government to protect the lives of the border residents in the ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
Three civilians, two BSF personnel and an Army jawan, were killed and over 40 others injured in the heavy shelling by Pakistan along the International Border and Line of Control (LoC) in the Jammu region since Thursday.
