અમદાવાદ: ગુજરાતમાં થયેલા સોહરાબુદ્દીન શેખ એન્કાઉન્ટર કેસમાં ત્રણ IPS અધિકારીઓની ધરપકડ કરનાર આઈપીએસ રજનીશ રાયે રાજીનામું આપી દીધું હોવાના અહેવાલ પ્રાપ્ત થયા છે. તેઓ હાલ આંધ્રપ્રદેશના ચિત્તૂરમાં CRPFમાં ફરજ બજાવી રહ્યા હતાં.
રજનીશ રાય 1992 બેચના ગુજરાત કેડરના આઇપીએસ અધિકારી છે. અત્રે મહત્વની વાત એ છે કે, તેમણે ગુજરાત બહુચર્ચિત સોહરાબુદ્દીન કેસમાં પણ તેમણે સાથી અધિકારીઓની ધરપકડ કરી હતી ત્યારે તેઓ ચર્ચામાં આવી ગયા હતાં. આ ઉપરાંત આસામમાં તેમની ફરજ દરમિયાન તેમણે આસામમાં ચાલતી અથડામણને ખોટી ગણાવી હતી.
