വിക്ഷേപണം വിജയകരമായെന്നും എല്ലാ ഘട്ടങ്ങളും തൃപ്തികരമായ രീതിയിലാണ് പിന്നിട്ടതെന്നും സ്ട്രാറ്റജിക് ഫോഴ്സ് കമാന്ഡ് അറിയിച്ചു. മിസൈല് വിക്ഷേപണം വിജയകരമാണെന്ന് പ്രതിരോധമന്ത്രി നിര്മലാ സീതാരാമന് സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു.2016 ഡിസംബര് 26 നാണ് ഇതിന് മുമ്പ് മിസൈല് പരീക്ഷണം നടന്നത്. മുന്നു ഘട്ടങ്ങളുള്ള മിസൈലിന് 17 മീറ്ററാണ് നീളം. ചൈനയുടെ വടക്കന് പ്രദേശങ്ങളില് വരെ എത്താന് കഴിയുന്ന 5,000 കിലോമീറ്റര് പ്രഹര പരിധിയുള്ളതാണ് അഗ്നി -V

भारतीय सेना और 'रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन' यानि DRDO ने चार सालों के बाद अपनी ताकतवर इंटरमीडिएट रेंज बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल 'अग्नि-4' का सफल परीक्षण आख़िरकार कर लिया है। यह टेस्टिंग ओडिशा के चांदीपुर स्थित एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम आइलैंड पर 6 जून 2022 को शाम साढ़े सात बजे की गई। आपको बता दें कि इससे पहले इस मिसाइल का परीक्षण साल 2018 के दिसंबर महीने में किया गया था।

NEW DELHI: India on Thursday test-fired for the first time its nuclear capable most-ambitious strategic missile, the over 5,000-km range Agni-V, in a bid to join the super exclusive ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) club that counts just US, Russia,China, France and UK as its members.
The solid-fuelled Agni-V, which will bring the whole of China as well as other regions under its strike envelope, was tested from Wheeler Island off the Odisha coast at 8.07 am.
''We have met all our mission objectives,'' said a jubilant DRD0 chief controller of missiles, Avinash Chander.
DRD0 chief V K Saraswat, in turn, said India had emerged as a major missile power with Thursday's test.
The nuclear-capable, three-stage Agni-V, about 50-tonne in weight and 17.5-metre tall, will become fully operational by 2014-2015 after 'four to five repeatable tests' and user trials.
India could have gone for a higher strike range but believes the solid-fuelled Agni-V is 'more than adequate'' to meet current threat perceptions and security concerns. The missile can, after all, even hit the northernmost parts of China.

अग्नि-5 की खासियत- हेडर
1. एटमी हथियार ले जाने में कैपेबल अग्नि-5 करीब 5500 किमी. तक मार कर सकती है।
3. 50 टन वाली यह देश की पहली अंतर-महाद्वीपीय बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल है, जिसका कैनिस्टर संस्करण में पहली बार परीक्षण किया गया।
4. अग्नि पांच मिसाइल की लंबाई 17.5 मीटर है और इस पर करीब 2500 करोड़ रुपए की लागत आई है। यह मिसाइल 1.5 टन का हथियार किसी भी देश के अंदर तक ले जाने में सक्षम है।
