There is news of relief for taxi operators in Himachal. Taxi vehicles with less than five seaters will have to pay Rs 1350 special road tax instead of Rs 8000 per year. Under the notification issued yesterday, an annual tax of Rs 8000 was imposed on 5 seater less taxi vehicles, after which there was an uproar among the taxi operators and they came out in protest against it. But a new notification was issued on Friday in which relief was given to private bus operators along with taxi operators.
