दक्षिण भारत (South India) के तटीय क्षेत्रों (Coastal Areas) में साइक्लोन (Cyclone) का खतरा मंडरा रहा है. बंगाल की खाड़ी (Bay of Bengal) से उठा चक्रवात मिचौंग (Cyclone Michaung) आज आंध्र प्रदेश (Andhra Pradesh), पुडुचेरी (Puducherry) और तमिलनाडु (Tamil Nadu) के तट पर पहुँच रहा है. इस चक्रवात का असर तमिलनाडु के विभिन्न शहरों में दिखने लगा है. भारी बारिश (Heavy Rain) के साथ राज्य में तेज़ हवाएं चल रहीं हैं और साथ ही लगातार हो रही बारिश की वजह से सड़कों पर जल भराव (Water Lodging) भी हो रहा है. मौसम विभाग (Indian Meteorological department, IMD) ने चक्रवात मिचौंग को लेकर अलर्ट (High Alert) भी जारी किया है.
