Shimla (Himachal): While amending the Land Revenue Act in the monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the government made a law to set time limits to expedite revenue related matters and also made a provision for departmental action in case of delay. Patwari and Kanungo employee organizations raised objections regarding this and cited less staff and more workload. Now Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi has assured the employees associated with the Land and Revenue Department that the government will consider the demands made by the employees regarding the amendments related to the Land Revenue Act.
