Under the statewide public awareness campaign for disaster risk reduction, earthquake and fire disaster mock drills were organized in Shri Naina Devi Ganpati Ropeway and temple premises. Two devotees trapped in the trolley were rescued by the soldiers of National Disaster Response Force Regional Response Centre, Nalagarh. Along with this, people trapped during the disaster in the temple anchor area were also evacuated safely. Of the 7 people injured during the disaster, 4 were sent home after initial treatment while three were sent to hospital.
