शहर की झोटवाड़ा विधानसभा सीट से भाजपा से टिकट की दावेदारी करने वाले आशु सिंह सुरपुरा ने चुनाव लड़ने का ऐलान कर दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि पार्टी ने टिकट नहीं दिया तो क्या हुआ। वोट तो जनता को देना है। लोकतंत्र में जनता जनार्दन सब कुछ है। जनता से बड़ी कोई पार्टी नहीं होती। शनिवार को झोटवाड़ा विधानसभा क्षेत्र के सिरसी रोड स्थित केसर बाग मैरिज गार्डन में सुरपुरा ने एक सभा का आयोजन किया। इस सभा में हजारों की संख्या में समर्थक मौजूद रहे। सभा में उमड़ी भीड़ से सुरपुरा ने पूछा कि पार्टी ने टिकट नहीं दिया, क्या किया जाए। इस दौरान भीड़ की तरफ से जोरदार आवाज आई कि आपको चुनाव मैदान में उतरना है। इसके बाद सुरपुरा ने चुनाव लड़ने का ऐलान कर दिया।
