BJP's Hamirpur parliamentary constituency in-charge and former minister Bikram Thakur has strongly reacted to the government's dismissal of junior engineers under the Zilla Parishad cadre. Bikram Thakur said that when the employees of Zilla Parishad cadre have not got the status of government employees, then on what basis is the Panchayati Raj Department giving notice to these employees and dismissing them from the job, if we go by history then regularization of these employees will be done. It was the Congress government in the Zilla Parishad that did it. Bikram Thakur has described Congress as the mother of all such cases in the state. He said that Sukhwinder Singh was calling the demand of Sukhu Zilla Parishad cadre employees for the assembly elections as a small anomaly. But after coming to power, these employees started being exploited in his government.
