ലൈസന്‍സ്, വാഹന റജിസ്‌ട്രേഷന്‍, ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് തുടങ്ങിയ രേഖകളുടെ പകര്‍പ്പ് ഇനി കൈവശം വയ്ക്കേണ്ടതില്ല. പകരം ഡിജിറ്റൽ രേഖകൾ മതി .പൊലീസ് പരിശോധിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മൊബൈലിലോ ടാബിലോ ഉള്ള ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ ലോക്കറിലെ രേഖകള്‍ കാണിച്ചാല്‍ മതി. കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ നിര്‍ദേശ പ്രകാരം ഡിജിലോക്കര്‍ അംഗീകൃത രേഖയായെന്നു ഡിജിപി ലോക്‌നാഥ് ബെഹ്റ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച സർക്കുലറിൽ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.ജില്ലാ പൊലീസ് മേധാവിമാര്‍ ട്രാഫിക് പരിശോധനയിലുള്ള ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ക്ക് ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ചു നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കണമെന്നു ബെഹ്റ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. മോട്ടോര്‍ വാഹന നിയമം (1988), കേന്ദ്ര മോട്ടോര്‍ വാഹന റൂള്‍ (1989) എന്നിവ പ്രകാരം, നിയമപാലകര്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുമ്പോള്‍ വാഹന ഉടമയോ ഡ്രൈവറോ ലൈസന്‍സ്, റജിസ്‌ട്രേഷന്‍, ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുകൾ പരിശോധനയ്ക്കായി നല്‍കണം. എന്നാല്‍ ഇന്‍ഫര്‍മേഷന്‍ ടെക്‌നോളജി ആക്റ്റ് (2000) പ്രകാരം ഇനിമുതല്‍ മൊബൈലില്‍ ഇന്‍സ്റ്റാള്‍ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള ഡിജി ലോക്കറില്‍ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന രേഖകൾ കാണിച്ചാല്‍ മതി.നിയമലംഘനം നടന്നതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ ഏതെങ്കിലും രേഖകള്‍ പിടിച്ചെടുക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ നിയമപാലകര്‍ക്കു ആ വിവരം ഡിജി ലോക്കറില്‍ രേഖപ്പെടുത്താം.
രേഖകള്‍ കടലാസ് രൂപത്തില്‍ കൊണ്ടുനടന്നു നഷ്ടപ്പെടാതെ ആവശ്യം വരുമ്പോള്‍ അധികാരികള്‍ക്കു കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നതിനോ ഷെയര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതിനോ ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ ലോക്കറുകള്‍ പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്താം. മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണ്‍, ടാബ്‌ലറ്റുകള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവയില്‍ ഡിജി ലോക്കർ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്‍ സജ്ജമാക്കാം. കടലാസ് രേഖകള്‍ സ്‌കാന്‍ ചെയ്തു സ്വയം ഡിജിറ്റലാക്കി സ്വന്തം ഇ–ഒപ്പ് ഉപയോഗിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തിയും സൂക്ഷിക്കാം.

പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദിയുടെ ഡിജി ലോക്കര്‍ ആപ്പിന് പുല്ലുവില നല്‍കി ബി.ജെ.പി ഭരിക്കുന്ന ഉത്തര്‍പ്രദേശിലെ പോലീസ്.സുപ്രധാന രേഖകളെല്ലാം ഡിജി ലോക്കറില്‍ സൂക്ഷിക്കാമെന്ന കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ പ്രഖ്യാപനം വിശ്വസിച്ചാണ് അലഹബാദ് സ്വദേശിയായ ഇഷാന്‍ സിംഗാള്‍ തന്റെ ബൈക്കിന്റെ രേഖകളെല്ലാം ഡിജിറ്റലാക്കിയത്. എന്നാല്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം വാഹനപരിശോധനയ്ക്കിടെ ഇവ പോലീസിനെ കാണിച്ച ഇഷാനോട് യു.പി പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞതാവട്ടെ ഇതൊക്കെ കൊണ്ടു പോയി മോദിയെ കാണിച്ചാല്‍ മതി. തങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് രേഖകളുടെ ഒറിജിനല്‍ കാണണമെന്നാണ്. മാത്രവുമല്ല രേഖകള്‍ സൂക്ഷിക്കാഞ്ഞതിന് 5900 രൂപ പിഴയും വിധിച്ചു.
