नगर के वार्ड क्रमांक 1 पीलीखदान के निवासीयो द्वारा एसडीएम को एक ज्ञापन सौपा गया । ज्ञापन खुल रही शराब की दुकान के विरोध मे था। ज्ञापन मे कहा गया कि जिस जगह शराब की दुकान खुल रही है। वो हमारा मुख्य मार्ग है। साथ ही वहां से महिलाओ एवं स्कूली छात्राओ का भी आना जाना लगा रहता है। वार्डवासीयो का कहना है कि लगभग 4 साल पहले भी वहां शराब की दुकान थी। जिससे मोहल्लेवासीयो को काफी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ता था। कई बार विवाद की स्थिति की बनी। वार्डवासीयो के विरोध के चलते शराब की दुकान प्रशासन के द्वारा वहां से हटा ली गई। वार्डवासीयो का कहना है कि वो शराब की दुकान पुनः वहां खुलने जा रही है। जिससे दोबारा वहां असामाजिक तत्वो का जमावड़ा हो जाएगा। अतः हम प्रशासन से निवेदन करते है कि शराब की दुकान को वहां दोबारा न लगने दिया जाए।

आष्टा नगर थाना अंतर्गत कन्नौद रोड स्थित सोनी
लॉज मे रात 2 बजे के लगभग अचानक धुआ निकलने लगा जिसे देख लॉज के उपर ही सो रहे लॉज मालिक मिथलेश ने धुआं उड़ते हुआ देखा तो सब घरवालो को उठाया और देखते ही देखते आग ने उग्र रूप ले लिया। परिवारजन जान बचाकर दूसरी छत के माध्यम से नीचे उतरे । फायर ब्रिग्रेड को सूचना दी गई। आग इतनी भयानक थी कि आष्टा जावर कोठरी की फायर बिग्रेड को भी बुलाया गया। मौके पर कई लोग मदद के लिए पहुचे। 3 घंटे की मशक्कत के बाद आग पर काबू पाया गया। अखिलेश पिता अशोक सोनी निवासी बजरंग कॉलेानी ने पुलिस को बताया कि मेरे भाई के मोबाईल की दुकान एवं कार डेकोरेशन के अलावा सभी दुकानो मे रखा सामान जलकर राख हो गया। जो लगभग 60 लाख रूपये का बताया गया। गनीमत रही कि इस आगजनी मे कोई जनहानि नही हुई पुलिस ने प्रकरण पंजीबद्ध कर जाच मे लिया । आष्टा से मोहम्मद सादिक की रिपोर्ट

ग्राम बेदा खेड़ी में एक सनसनी खेज़ वारदात सामने आई है...जिसमें एक पति ने अपनी पत्नी की गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी.. यें हत्या चरित्र पर शंका के चलते की गई..पुलिस से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार कटिंग की दुकान चलाने वाले अर्जुन सेन ने अपनी पत्नी 35 वर्षीय सारिका की गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी.. घटना के दौरान मृतिका के बच्चे स्कूल पढ़ने गए थे..हत्या की खबर गाँव में आग़ की तरह फैली.. सूचना मिलने पर पुलिस मौके पर पहुंच गई .. शव का पोस्टमार्टम कर परिजनों को सौंप दिया गया मृतका के पुत्र ने उसका अंतिम संस्कार किया.. मृतका की शव यात्रा में काफी संख्या में ग्रामीण जन शामिल हुए

पुष्प विद्यालय में कक्षा तीसरी सी क्लास की बच्ची के उपर अचानक चलता हुआ पंखा गिर गया। जिसके कारण उक्त बच्ची को गंभीर चोट आई। छात्रा का नाम प्रतिष्ठा मेवाड़ा पिता कल्याणसिंह मेवाड़ा निवासी बायपास अलीपुर है। जो कक्षा 3 सी की छात्रा है। । घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही फादर मेलविन सीजे छात्रा को भोपाल ले गए। जहां बच्ची का उपचार चल रहा है। बताया जाता है कि बच्ची खतरे से बाहर है। लेकिन गंभीर चोट होने कारण काफी ब्लड बह चुका है। निजी अस्पताल में उपचार किया जा रहा है। छात्रा के पिता कल्याणसिंह मेवाड़ा ने बतााया कि आंख के उपर पेषानी पर चोट आई है। अभी बच्ची खतरे से बाहर है। और उपचार चल रहा है।

पंरपरागत दस दिन से मोहर्रम का पर्व चल रहा है। 11 वां दिन समापन पर नगर सहित क्षेत्र के मुस्लिम समुदाय द्वारा भव्य जुलूस पुराना बस स्टैंड अलीचौक से प्रांरभ किया गया। जो नगर की पुरानी सब्जी मंडी बड़ा बाजार सिकंदर बाजार गल चौराहा बुधवारा रोड अस्पताल चौराहा से निकल रहा था। इसी बीच नगर के कई चौराहो पर समिति के सदस्यो का भव्य स्वागत किया गया। जुलूस में जुम्मापुरा पीलीखदान काजीपुरा लंगापुरा टेकरी छात्रावास सहित नगर के अन्य जगह के ताजिए सम्मिलित हो गए। जुलूस में दुलदुल बुर्राक सहित दो दर्जन से अधिक छोटे बड़े ताजिए चल रहे थे। वही अखाड़े के कलाकार हैरंतअंगेज करने वाले प्रदर्षन करते हुए चल रहे थे। वही डीजे की धुन पर युवाओ द्वारा इमाम हुसैन की ष्षहादत की धुन पर थिरक रहे थे। जुलूस जैसे जैसे आगे बड़ता गया। तादाद भी बड़ती गई। ताजिए के जुलूस देखने के लिए जनसैलाब उमड़ पड़ा ताजिए का समापन के जुलूस मे बड़ी तादाद मे महिलाएं भी रही। सुबह से ही मौसम साफ था लेकिन चार बजे अचानक तेज बारिष होने लगी लेकिन बारिष भी ताजिए को मानने वाले मुस्लिम समुदाय के लोगो का उत्साह कम नही कर पाई। लगातार आधे घंटे से भी अधिक बारिष मे भी जुलूस बरकार पूरे ष्षबाब पर था। या अली या हुसैन की दास्तान के साथ ताजिया आगे बड़ता चल रहा था नगर के इतिहास में सबसे अधिक भीड़ मोहर्रम के जुलूस मे आज देखी गई। जुलूस नगर मे होता हुआ और अली चौक पहुचा। उसके बाद कर्बला की ओर चला। जहां ताजिए समापन होना था। इससे पहले ताजिए की परपरागत दुआए की गई। उसके बाद नदी किनारे बना कुंड में ताजिए का समापन हुआ।

प्रदेश सहित समूचे देश भर में गणतंत्र दिवस एवं स्वतंत्रता दिवस के पूर्व हर-घर तिरंगा यात्रा का आगाज होता है, उसी के चलते नगर में जनप्रतिनिधियों एवं अधिकारियों की उपस्थिति में हजारों की संख्या में विद्यार्थियों द्वारा तिरंगा यात्रा निकाली गई। यह यात्रा सीएम राईस स्कूल से प्रारंभ हुई जो नगर के मुख्य मार्गो से होते हुए पुनः सीएम राईस स्कूल पहुंची जहां तिरंगा यात्रा का समापन हुआ।तिरंगा यात्रा के मुख्य अतिथि विधायक गोपालसिंह इंजीनियर ने उपस्थितजनों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि हर घर तिरंगा अभियान के पीछे का विचार लोगों के दिलों में देशभक्ति की भावना जगाना और भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वज के बारे में जागरूकता को बढ़ावा देना है। जब भी राष्ट्रीय ध्वज प्रदर्शित किया जाए, तो उसे सम्मान की स्थिति में रखा जाना चाहिए। उसे अलग स्थान पर रखा जाना चाहिए। क्षतिग्रस्त या अस्त-व्यस्त राष्ट्रीय ध्वज प्रदर्शित नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। भारत का राष्ट्रीय ध्वज शांति, प्रेम और एकता का प्रतीक है। भारत को आजाद कराने में कई स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों ने अपनी जान गंवाई। यह उनके अमूल्य बलिदान का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है।
