It was the undoubted highlight of her fledgling acting career, but delight nearly turned to humiliation for Jennifer Lawrence at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.
In front of a glittering audience of stars, the beautiful 22-year-old nearly lost her dress as she stood up to collect her prize.
She had been suffering from pneumonia and was up against some of Hollywood's top leading ladies in the Best Female Actor category- and still felt bold enough to choose an unusual dress for the evening.

Fellow actresses Nicole Kidman and Marion Cotillard certainly felt the young woman's pain, and were caught on camera reacting to the dress' tearing.
