Citing that the government had issued them few taxi permits ten years ago, the Sirsaim Tourist Taxi Association has asked the government to consider their demands and increase the number of yellow and black taxi permits to operate at the Tivim railway station. Under the banner of Sirsaim tourist taxi association, local villagers of Sirsaim are operating tourist taxis and have made a written representation to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant demanding a solution to their pending demands which includes the right to operate tourist taxis from the Tivim railway station. Taxi operators also demanded to increase the yellow/black taxi permits at the railway station which has not been done for over a decade. They also demanded for a tourist taxi counter at the railway station.
