    88 വര്‍ഷവമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം തുടങ്ങിയിട്ട്. 4 പെന്‍സ്റ്റോക്ക് പൈപ്പുകളില്‍ രണ്ടെണ്ണം ദ്രവിച്ച അവസ്ഥയിലാണ്. പള്ളിവാസല്‍ എക്സ്റ്റന്‍ഷന്‍ സ്കീമിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ഈ 4 പൈപ്പുകളും മാറ്റി സ്ഥാപിക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനമായിരുന്നു. ഇനി 300 മീറ്റര്‍ കൂടി പുതിയ പദ്ധതിപ്രകാരം പൈപ്പ് സ്ഥാപിക്കാനുമുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ പണികളെല്ലാം മുടങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുകയാണ്.പലയിടത്തും ചോര്‍ച്ചയുള്ള സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ ഈ പൈപ്പുകള്‍ ഏതുസമയത്തും പൊട്ടാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്..
    10 മില്ലിമീറ്റര്‍ കനമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പൈപ്പിന്റെ കനം കുറഞ്ഞ് 3 മില്ലിമീറ്റർ വരെയായിട്ടുണ്ട് . 2010ൽ‍ നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനാ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ പൈപ്പുകള്‍ ദ്രവിച്ചുപോയെന്നു കണ്ടെത്തിയതാണ്. 8 വര്‍ഷം പിന്നിട്ടിട്ടും നടപടിയുണ്ടായില്ല. പള്ളിവാസല്‍ എക്സറ്റന്‍ഷന്‍ സ്കീം എത്രയും വേഗം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കണം.
    2007ല്‍ ആരംഭിച്ച പദ്ധതി മുടങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നതിനാൽ സര്‍ക്കാരിനുണ്ടായ നഷ്ടം 2000 കോടിയിലധികമാണ്.
