പശ്ചിമഘട്ടത്തിന്റെ മലനിരകള്‍ ,മാനം മുട്ടെ നില്‍ക്കുന്ന കാഴ്ചകള്‍ ആസ്വദിച്ച് ഒരുപകലും രാത്രിയും തങ്ങാനുള്ള സൗകര്യം ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്ന പദ്ധതിയാണ് വനം വകുപ്പ് ഒരുക്കുന്നത്.മുളംചങ്ങാടത്തിന് പുറമെ കുട്ടവഞ്ചിയും, പുത്തന്‍,ജീപ്പ് സവാരിയും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. പ്രത്യേക പാക്കേജുകളുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ നടത്താനാണ് അധികൃതരുടെ തീരുമാനം. ശെന്തരുണിയുടെ ഭംഗി ആസ്വദിക്കാന്‍ മുളയില്‍ ഒരുക്കിയെടുത്ത ചങ്ങാടവും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട് . പതിനഞ്ചുപേര്‍ക്കോളം ഇരിക്കാന്‍കഴിയുന്ന മുളംചങ്ങാടം സഞ്ചാരികള്‍ക്കായി നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞു. ചങ്ങാട യാത്രയില്‍ തെന്മല പരപ്പാര്‍ ഡാമിന് മുകള്‍ ഭാഗത്തുള്ള കാനനഭംഗി മതിവരുവോളം ആസ്വദിക്കാം.
ഡാമിന്റെ പ്രധാന പോക്ഷക നദിയായ കഴുതുരുട്ടി ആറിന്റെ രംഗപ്രവേശനവും ഇവിടെ കാണാന്‍ കഴിയും.
മുളം ചങ്ങാടത്തിനുള്ള സഞ്ചാരത്തിന് ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് 100 രൂപയാണ്. കൂടാതെ പരമാവധി 15 പേര്‍ക്ക് കളംകുന്ന് ഭാഗത്ത് രാത്രി താമസത്തിനുള്ള സൗകര്യവും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.കളംകുന്നത്ത് ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിന് താമസിക്കാനുള്ള എല്ലാ സൗകര്യവും അധികൃതര്‍ ഇവിടെ ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. താമസത്തിന് പുറമെ ഇവിടെ തന്നെ ആഹാരം പാചകം ചെയ്യാനുള്ള സൗകര്യവുമുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ ട്രെക്കിങ്ങിനും ബോട്ടിങ്ങിനുമുള്ള സൗകര്യവും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ചെറുദ്വീപില്‍ നിന്ന് നോക്കുമ്പോള്‍ പശ്ചിമഘട്ട മലനിരകളും കൂട്ടമായി നില്‍ക്കുന്ന കാരാഞ്ഞിലി വൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ തലയുയര്‍ത്തി നില്‍ക്കുന്ന കാഴ്ചകളുമുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ വിവിധ ഇനത്തിലുള്ള പക്ഷികളുടെ ആവാസമേഖലകൂടിയാണ് ഈ ഭാഗം. രണ്ട് പേര്‍ക്ക് 7500 രൂപയാണ് ഈ പാക്കേജിന് ഈടാക്കുന്നത്. പിന്നീടുള്ള ഓരോരുത്തര്‍ക്കും 1500 വീതവും.
