First up, former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes has been formally charged with DUI. The actress has plead not guilty to the charge which stems from an incident in April where she clipped a police car and allegedly tried to flee the scene. She later refused to submit to a chemical test to determine whether or not she'd been under the influence of alcohol at the time. So while Bynes continues to insist she doesn't drink, she's also reached out on Twitter for help from an unlikely source. A recent Tweet by the retired star asks President Obama to fire the officer who arrested her. Um, ok. I always thought the President was busy with important things. I didn't know you tweet him for help with your personal problems. If that's the case, I have some student debts I'd like cleared up if you're listening Mr. President.
Next up, get ready to Airtime. Internet titans Shawn Fanning and Sean Parker have just launched their social communication service that promises to offer a simple way for people to connect through video on Facebook. Airtime also claims to help people discover new contacts and friends outside their existing social network...kind of like a penis-less chatroulette. A launch party featuring Joel McHale, Jim Carrey, Olivia Munn and Jimmy Fallon showed off the service, but was mired with technical difficulties that the company is hoping to iron out before rolling out the service to over 950 million Facebook users.

Amanda Bynes appears to have moved beyond lashing out via Twitter.
The 26-year-old starlet was arrested tonight in New York after allegedly throwing a bong out of her Midtown apartment window when police showed up in response to a call about a disorderly person in her building, the NYPD confirms to E! News.
She has been booked on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana.
Bynes was first taken to Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before being transported to a Midtown station for processing.
Police tell E! that her building's doorman called 911 at around 7:42 p.m. to report that Bynes was smoking pot in the lobby. When officers arrived, Bynes had already gone back to her apartment. They followed and, when she opened the door, saw a bong, which she then allegedly threw out the window.
The officers noted smoke and the smell of marijuana in the apartment.
We're told that Bynes is being transferred to Manhattan Central Booking and will likely spend the night there before facing a judge in the morning.
Two weeks ago, Bynes pleaded no contest (via her attorney) in Burbank, Calif., to driving with a suspended license and was sentenced to three years' summary probation. A DUI charge is still pending in Beverly Hills.
