नेहरू युवा केंद्र सेंट्रल दिल्ली द्वारा दिनांक 10 से 12 मार्च 2023 तक पौराणिक स्थल रामघाट वजीराबाद में जिला प्रशासन के निर्देशन में तीन दिवसीय श्रमदान शिविर में तैयार किए गए अस्थायी पूजा सामग्री स्थल का उद्घाटन सिविल लाइन डिवीजन की उपजिलाधिकारी मीना त्यागी ने फीता काटकर किया। सर्वप्रथम नेहरू युवा केंद्र सेंट्रल दिल्ली के उपनिदेशक राजेश कुमार जादौन ने पुष्प गुच्छ देकर कर स्वागत किया. महिला शिक्षा एंव कल्याण समिति की अध्यक्ष, विजय लक्ष्मी ने शाल भेंट किया. स्वच्छता अभियान के प्रभारी दीपक गुप्ता ने यमुना सफाई स्मारिका भेंट की. स्वागत की कडी में जादोन ने बताया कि इस पूजा स्थल के निर्माण में जिलाधिकारी महोदया, श्री मति सोनिका सिंह व अपर जिलाधिकारी डा अतुल कुमार पांडेय और सिविल लाइन डिवीजन की उपजिलाधिकारी महोदया के कुशल नेत्रत्व और सफल प्रशासनिक निर्देशन में इसे तैयार किया गया है। नव रात्र शुरू हो गए हैं. सभी ग्राम वासियों से निवेदन है कि घाट पर या घरों में पूजा के उपरांत उपयोग की गई पूजा हवन सामग्री जैसे नारियल, खण्डित मूर्तियां, तस्वीरें, कलैंडर आदि नेहरू युवा केंद्र सेंट्रल दिल्ली द्वारा निर्मित व निर्धारित पूजा सामग्री स्थल का उपयोग करें और आने जाने वाले श्रद्धालुओं को भी जागरूक करें।
कार्यक्रम की मुख्य अतिथि ने जी - 20 व मिशन लाइफ पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए पौधरोपण कर उपस्थिति जन समान्य विशेष कर युवाओं को निर्देशित करते हुए कहा कि जो पौधे आज लगाए गए हैं उनकी रक्षा सुरक्षा करना यहां के स्थानीय लोगों का कर्तव्य होगा। यहां सफाई रखना जरूरी है लोग यहां कचरा न डालें ताकि आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं को भी सुविधा रहे। बतौर मुख्य अतिथि मीना त्यागी ने य़ह भी कहा कि नेहरु युवा केन्द्र सेंट्रल दिल्ली ने जो प्रयास किया है सराहनीय है। स्थानीय लोग उपयोग की गई पूजा सामग्री निर्धारित स्थान पर ही रखें. उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि जिला प्रशासन द्वारा जून 2023 में पौधारोपण का सघन अभियान चलाया जा रहा है उसमें आप लोग अधिक से अधिक संख्या में पौधे लगाए। जो पौधे आज लगाये गये

दिल्ली में यमुना से बाढ़ की आशंका दिल्ली की तरफ आ रहा है तबाही का जलसैलाब।
पहाड़ों में लगातार हो रही बारिश के बाद दिल्ली यमुना का जल स्तर लगातार बढ़ रहा है। हरियाणा के हथनी कुंड बैराज से तीन लाख क्यूसेक से ज्यादा पानी यमुना में छोड़ा गया है जो रविवार रात से शुरू होकर रविवार शाम तक पूरा पानी दिल्ली में पहुंच जाएगा। दिल्ली के निचले इलाकों में बाढ़ का खतरा मंडराने लगा है । प्रशासन ने सुरक्षा इंतजाम किए पुख्ता।
लगातार बारिश के बाद यमुना का जलस्तर लगातार बढ़ रहा है। आज यमुना का जलस्तर खतरे के निशान को पार कर गया। अभी तीन लाख क्यूसिक से ज्यादा पानी और यमुना में आना बाकी है। अलीपुर एसडीएम इरा सिंगला ने बताया कि रविवार शाम तक वह पानी दिल्ली में पहुंच जाएगा।
नीचले इलाकों में अलर्ट जारी कर दिया गया है। यमुना किनारे खेती करने वाले लोगों को खेतों से बाहर आने के लिए सचेत कर दिया गया है। साथ ही प्रशासन ने जगह-जगह सुरक्षा इंतजाम नावे गोताखोर पहले से ही तैनात कर दिए हैं। तीन लाख क्यूसिक से ज्यादा पानी एक साथ आता है तो दिल्ली में बाढ़ का खतरा बढ़ना स्वाभाविक है।

दिल्ली के वजीराबाद व जगतपुर से लेकर पल्ला तक यमुना किनारे कई गांव बसे हुए हैं। यहां पर राम घाट, सूर घाट, काली घाट, हनुमान घाट समेत बड़ी संख्या में घाट भी बने हुए हैं जहां पर लोग यमुना की पूजा और स्नान आदि के लिए भी जाते हैं।
यमुना के किनारे खेती भी की जाती है । यमुना का पानी कई बार बिल्कुल कम भी हो जाता है तो कई बार बारिश के दौरान पानी काफी बढ़ जाता है। पिछले दिनों पानी की कमी भी थी दिल्ली के लोगों को पीने का पानी भी पूरा नहीं मिल रहा था पूरी दिल्ली में पानी की किल्लत थी और दिल्ली सरकार का कहना था कि यमुना में पीछे से पानी कम आ रहा है यही इस वजह से पानी की किल्लत हो रही है। अब जैसे ही पिछले सप्ताह से पहाड़ों में और दिल्ली के आसपास के क्षेत्र में भी लगातार बारिश हुई तो यमुना में पानी का लेवल भी काफी बढ़ गया है। स्थानीय लोगों ने अब सरकार से मांग करते कहा है कि दिल्ली में गांवो के आसपास पार्क आदि की भी सुविधाएं नहीं है लोग यमुना किनारे घूमने के लिए भी जाते हैं लेकिन सरकार की तरफ से कोई व्यवस्था नहीं की गई है।
स्थानीय लोगों ने मांग करते हुए कहा है कि यमुना के किनारों को साबरमती रिवरफ्रंट की तरह विकसित किया जाए ताकि यमुना साफ और स्वच्छ भी रहे और लोग भी यमुना की सुंदरता को देख सकें।
