George RR Martin Talks Red Wedding on Conan!
As if he didn't tug on our heartstrings enough after the Game of Thrones Red Wedding episode aired, George RR Martin dug the knife a little deeper while doing an interview on Conan O'Brien's late night show.
Conan asked Martin why he enjoys surprising the GOT fans, throwing out twists and turns like there's no tomorrow.

Martin also told a story of how he's had actors beg him to not be killed off—he recalled being at the season 3 premiere party earlier this year and he had a nice chat with 3 actors on the show.
He said, 'It was a delightful conversation, but I had a moment where I realized they were all dead... It's one thing to kill these characters when they're just people on paper, but when you actually meet the actors who portray them and you know you're making people unemployed, it does bring up a certain amount of guilt feelings.'.
