Sequels are all the rage in Hollwood these days, and we have two new part twos that will be hitting the big screen before you know it. And which movies will be getting the sequel treatment? Well,first up is actually the R-Rated, 2003 comedy, Bad Santa, which starred Billy Bob Thornton playing a conman posing as Santa in order to rob department stores on Christmas Eve. Starring with Thornton was the late Bernie Mac and also John Ritter. Deadline is reporting that Entourage creator, Doug Ellin is on board to write the new script to Bad Santa 2, and could possibly direct it as well depending on his scheduling with the new Entourage movie that he is also writing.
Another part two that we will likely see is the sequel to Tim Burton's billion dollar baby, Alice In Wonderland. Variety is reporting that Disney is finally getting a move on with this project, and it looks like James Bobin might be in talks to direct this one. Bobin wrote the successful re-boot of The Muppets back in 2011, and he is currently busy the sequel to that film, Muppets...Again! On board to write the script is the original Alice writer, Linda Woolverton. And, we will keep our eyes and ears open on any details of whether or not Johnny Depp will be back to play the Mad Hatter. There isn't any word just yet on the production schedule of either one of these movies, but when we hear more details, our subscribers will be the first to know. So, I know many of you are fed up with all of the sequels in.
