After Prime Minister Narendra Modi had raised the issue of plight of people residing in the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Gilgit-Baloch regions from the rampart of Red Fort on Independence Day, the issue has taken momentum and Modi has been receiving messages of gratitude. Now Modi government has proposed a Rs 2,000-crore package for people displaced from PoK living in India. According to sources, the J&K government has identified 36,348 such families which will get around Rs 5.5 lakh each. Refugees from Pakistan mostly from PoK have settled in different parts of Jammu, Kathua and Rajouri districts over a period of time. They do not have the status of permanent residents. An organisation of displaced people from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) today staged a protest on the eve of International Human Rights Day here, claiming that their plight was never taken into consideration and they were forced to lead a miserable life for the last seven decades.
'We were displaced from our houses and forced to take shelter in Jammu 70 years ago. It is unfortunate that our plight failed to move the world organisations, the Centre and state governments,' Chairman of SOS International Rajiv Chuni said.

ഉയര്ന്ന വേഗതയുള്ള 1.5 ലക്ഷം രൂപ വില വരുന്ന ഇലക്ട്രിക് ഇരുചക്ര വാഹനങ്ങള്ക്ക് 30000 രൂപ വരെയും, ഒരു ലക്ഷം രൂപ വില വരുന്ന വേഗത കുറഞ്ഞ ഇലക്ട്രിക് ഇരുചക്ര വാഹനങ്ങള്ക്ക് 20000 രൂപയും, അഞ്ചു ലക്ഷം രൂപ വില വരുന്ന ഇലക്ട്രിക് ത്രീവീലറുകള്ക്ക് 75000 രൂപയും, 15 ലക്ഷം രൂപ വില വരുന്ന ഇലക്ട്രിക് കാറുകള്ക്ക് രണ്ടു ലക്ഷം രൂപ വരെയും, 10 ലക്ഷം രൂപ വരെ വില വരുന്ന ചെറു വാണിജ്യ വാഹനങ്ങള്ക്ക് 2.5 ലക്ഷം രൂപയും, മൂന്ന് കോടി വില വരുന്ന ബസുകള്ക്ക് 50 ലക്ഷം രൂപ വരെയും ഇളവുകള് നല്കുന്ന കരട് രേഖയാണ് കേന്ദ്രം മുന്നോട്ടുവച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
