Shaheen Shah Afridi was on fire in Pakistan’s opening encounter against the Indian side in the 2021 T20 World Cup. The left-arm seamer scalped the wickets of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli and dismantled the Indian top order.

Afridi first dismissed Rohit Sharma, who was caught plumb in front of the stumps for a duck. Next, he shattered KL Rahul’s stumps with a ripper of a delivery. And then, Afridi got the big fish, Virat Kohli. Kohli attempted a pull shot and edged the ball to Mohammad Rizwan behind the stumps.

In the 2021 edition of the IPL, the Young Turk notched 484 runs at an average of 40.33 and a strike rate of 136.72. Apart from the ton against PBKS, he also scored a couple of half-centuries.
