തീവ്രവാദ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളും, പ്രായപൂര്‍ത്തിയാകാത്ത കുട്ടികളുടെ പോണ്‍ വീഡിയോകളും, സജീവമായെന്ന് ആരോപിച്ച് ആപ്പിള്‍ ആപ് സ്റ്റോറില്‍ നിന്നും ടെലിഗ്രാം ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്‍ നീക്കം ചെയ്തു.ആപ്പുകളിലൂടെ അശ്ലീല ഉള്ളടക്കമോ, ഭീഷണിയുടെ സ്വരമോ ഒക്കെയുള്ള ആപ്പുകളെ വിലക്കാനുള്ള അധികാരം ആപ്പിളിനുണ്ട്. ഈ അധികാരമുപയോഗിച്ചാണ് പുതിയ നീക്കം. താരതമ്യേന നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങള്‍ കുറവായ ടെലിഗ്രാം തീവ്രവാദ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നെന്ന് നേരത്തെ തന്നെ ആരോപണം ഉയര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു. ഇതിനു പുറമേ, പ്രായപൂര്‍ത്തിയാകാത്ത കുട്ടികളുടെ അശ്ലീല വീഡിയോകളും ടെലിഗ്രാമിലീടെ വ്യാപകമായി പ്രചരിച്ചിരുന്നു.

ഇത്തരം ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളില്‍ അംഗമായിരുന്നാല്‍ വീഡിയോ കൈവശം വെക്കുന്നതിന് തുല്യമായി കണക്കാക്കും
കുട്ടികളുടെ അശ്ലീല വീഡിയോ കൈവശം വെക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കും പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കുമെതിരെ ശക്തമായ നിയമ നടപടികള്‍ സ്വീകരിക്കാനൊരുങ്ങി കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍. ഇത്തരം കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നവര്‍ക്കെതിരെ ജാമ്യമില്ലാ വകുപ്പു പ്രകാരം കേസെടുക്കാനും അഞ്ചുവര്‍ഷം ജയില്‍ശിക്ഷ നല്‍കാനും തക്കവണ്ണം നിയമ ഭേദഗതികള്‍ വരുത്താനാണ് കേന്ദ്രം ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത്.
കുറ്റം ആവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ഏഴു വര്‍ഷം വരെ തടവിനും ശുപാര്‍ശയുണ്ട്. ഇത്തരം വീഡിയോ വാട്‌സ്‌ആപ്പ് ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള സാമൂഹിക മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ വഴി പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് അധികൃതരെ അറിയിക്കാതിരുന്നാല്‍ പിഴ ഈടാക്കും.ഇത്തരം ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളില്‍ അംഗമായിരുന്നാല്‍ വീഡിയോ കൈവശം വെക്കുന്നതിന് തുല്യമായി കണക്കാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. ഇതിനായി കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കെതിരായ ലൈംഗികാതിക്രമങ്ങള്‍ തടയാനുള്ള പോക്‌സോ നിയമത്തില്‍ ഭേദഗതി വരുത്തും.ഭേദഗതി ശുപാര്‍ശകള്‍ നിയമമന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റേയും വനിതാ-ശിശുക്ഷേമ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റേയും അനുമതി തേടിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. അനുമതി ലഭിക്കുന്ന മുറയ്ക്ക് മന്ത്രിസഭയില്‍ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് ദേശീയ മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തു.പോക്‌സോ നിയമത്തിന്റെ 15-ാം വകുപ്പിലാകും ഭേദഗതി വരുത്തുക.
