केंद्र सरकार द्वारा चलाया गया एक विशेष सफाई अभियान चर्चा बटोर रहा है। यह अभियान इस साल गांधी जयंती पर 2 अक्टूबर को शुरू किया गया था और 31 अक्टूबर को समाप्त हुआ। इसके तहत पिछले एक महीने में केंद्र सरकार के कार्यालयों से 13.73 लाख से ज्यादा फाइलें क्लियर की गई हैं। इस दौरान निकले रद्दी-कबाड़ को बेचने से केंद्र सरकार को 40 करोड़ रुपए मिले हैं, जबकि करीब 8 लाख वर्ग फीट जगह खाली करा ली गई है। इसे इस तरह समझें कि इतने एरिया में राष्ट्रपति भवन जैसी चार इमारतें आ जाती क्योंकि भवन का फ्लोर एरिया 2 लाख वर्ग फीट है। कार्मिक राज्य मंत्री डॉ जितेंद्र सिंह ने सोमवार को इस अभियान की समीक्षा के बाद यह जानकारी दी। यह कवायद भारत सरकार के लंबित मामलों को निपटाने और व्यवस्था को सरल और सुचारु बनाने की योजना के तहत चली। इससे जन साधारण और सरकारी व्यवस्था, दोनों को लाभ होगा।

अफज़लगढ़ ब्लाॅक क्षेत्र में संचारी रोगों की रोकथाम के लिए शासन के आदेशानुसार ग्राम पंचायतों में दो दिवसीय विशेष सफाई अभियान चलाया गया। इस संबंध में खण्ड विकास अधिकारी अम्बरीश कुमार ने बताया कि बरसात के मौसम में संचारी रोगों से बचाव के लिए शासन के आदेश पर ब्लाॅक क्षेत्र की सभी पंचायतों में सफाई कराई जायेगी। जिसकी शुरूआत में गांव सीरवासुचन्द, कासमपुर गढ़ी, सुल्तानपुर खास सहित विभिन्न गांवों में दो दिवसीय सफाई अभियान चलाकर नाले नालियों, गड्ढों में रूके पानी और सड़कों आदि की सफाई कराई गइ। बीडीओ ने बताया कि सफाई कर्मियों की उपलब्धता के अनुसार सफाई का कार्य पंचायतों में चलता रहेगा।
