ദിനോസറുകളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനത്തില്‍ നിര്‍ണായകമായ കണ്ടുപിടിത്തമായി മാറി കൂറ്റന്‍ കാല്‍പ്പാടുകള്‍. സ്‌കോട്ട്‌ലന്‍ഡിലെ ദ്വീപായ സ്‌കൈയില്‍ ആണ് ഏകദേശം 170 ദശലക്ഷം വര്‍ഷം പഴക്കമുണ്ടെന്ന് കരുതപ്പെടുന്ന കാല്‍പ്പാടുകള്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.
മധ്യ ജുറാസിക് കാലഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു സോറോപോഡ്, തെറാപോഡ് എന്നിവയുടെ പാദങ്ങളുടെ പാടുകളാണ് കണ്ടെത്തിയതെന്ന് ഗവേഷകര്‍ വിശദീകരിച്ചു. ഏകദേശം 12 കാല്‍പ്പാടുകളാണ് സ്‌കൈ ദ്വീപില്‍ നിന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.ആഗോളതലത്തില്‍ വലിയ പ്രാധാന്യം അര്‍ഹിക്കുന്ന കണ്ടെത്തലാണ് ഇതെന്ന് പഠനത്തില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത എഡിന്‍ബ്രോ സര്‍വകലാശാലയിലെ ഗവേഷകര്‍ പറയുന്നു.മധ്യ ജുറാസിക് കാലഘട്ടത്തിലെ ദിനോസര്‍ ഫോസിലുകള്‍ വളരെക്കുറച്ചു മാത്രമാണ് ഇതുവരെ കണ്ടെത്താനായിട്ടുള്ളു.സ്‌കോട്ടിഷ് ജേണലായ ജിയോളജിയിലാണ് പഠനം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്.

നഗരങ്ങളിലെ ഈച്ചകള്‍ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലേതിനേക്കാള്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ അപകടകാരികള്‍ ആണ് എന്നാണ് പഠനം പറയുന്നത്. നാം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാത്ത പല ചെറിയ അസുഖങ്ങളും ഇങ്ങനെ ഈച്ചകള്‍ വഴി എത്തുന്നുണ്ടത്രെ

More than 20 people were taken to hospitals after a second-story deck on a condominium in North Carolina collapsed onto a patio below.
Brunswick County emergency officials say the deck collapsed around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in Ocean Isle Beach.
Emergency services director Anthony Marzano says the injuries included cuts and broken bones but none of the injuries were life-threatening.
