ദീര്‍ഘകാല അവധിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിച്ചശേഷം ജോലിയ്ക്കെത്താത്ത കെഎസ്ആര്‍ടിസി ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കെതിരെ കടുത്ത നടപടിയ്ക്കൊരുങ്ങുകയാണ് മാനേജ്മെന്റ്. അഞ്ചുവര്‍ഷത്തെ അവധി കഴിഞ്ഞും ജോലിക്ക് ഹാജരാകാത്ത 73 ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കും നോട്ടിസ് നല്‍കി. മേയ് 25നകം ജോലിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിക്കാനാണ് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഡെപ്യൂട്ടേഷനിലുള്ള 54 പേര്‍ക്കും നോട്ടിസ് നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.കണ്ടക്ടര്‍, ഡ്രൈവര്‍, മെക്കാനിക്ക്, ടയര്‍ ഇന്‍സ്പെക്ടര്‍, പമ്പ് ഓപ്പറേറ്റര്‍, എഡിഇ തസ്തികയിലുള്ളവരാണു മുങ്ങിയ ജീവനക്കാര്‍. നിശ്ചിത സമത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ ജോലിക്കു ഹാജരായില്ലെങ്കില്‍ നീക്കം ചെയ്യാനാണു തീരുമാനം.കോര്‍പറേഷനിലെ ചട്ടങ്ങളനുസരിച്ച് അഞ്ചു വര്‍ഷംവരെ ദീര്‍ഘകാല അവധിയെടുക്കാന്‍ ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കു കഴിയു.വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ ജോലിക്കു പോകുന്നവരാണ് ദീര്‍ഘകാല അവധിയെടുക്കുന്നത്. അവധിയെടുത്തു കേരളത്തില്‍ ജോലി ചെയ്യാനാവില്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞവര്‍ഷത്തെ കണക്കനുസരിച്ച് കെഎസ്ആര്‍ടിസിയില്‍ 34,966 സ്ഥിരം ജീവനക്കാരാണുള്ളത്.

എം പാനല്‍ ജീവനക്കാരെ പിരിച്ചുവിട്ടതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് സംസ്ഥാനത്തുടനീളം ഇന്നും നിരവധി കെഎസ്ആര്‍ടിസി സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ മുടങ്ങി.
ഹൈക്കോടതിവിധി പാലിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി കെ.എസ്.ആർ.ടി.സി. 3861 താത്കാലിക കണ്ടക്ടർമാരെ പിരിച്ചുവിട്ടു. പി.എസ്.സി. പട്ടികയിലുള്ളവരെ നിയമിക്കാൻ നടപടിയെടുക്കാത്തതിൽ ഹൈക്കോടതി തിങ്കളാഴ്ചയും അതൃപ്തി പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചതിനിടെയാണ് നടപടി.
രാവിലെ പതിവുപോലെ ജോലിക്കെത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് പുറത്തായ വിവരം മിക്കവരും അറിയുന്നത്.
പലരും പൊട്ടിക്കരഞ്ഞു. പത്തുവർഷത്തോളം സർവീസുള്ളവർവരെ ജോലി നഷ്ടമായ കൂട്ടത്തിലുണ്ട്. കോട്ടയത്ത് കെ.എസ്.ആർ.ടി.സി. ബസ്‌സ്റ്റാൻഡ് കെട്ടിടത്തിനു മുകളിൽ കയറി ജീവനക്കാരൻ ആത്മഹത്യാഭീഷണി മുഴക്കി. കണ്ടക്ടർ കുട്ടനാട്‌ മിത്രക്കരി വി.എസ്. നിഷാദാണ് ആത്മഹത്യയ്ക്ക് ശ്രമിച്ചത്. സഹപ്രവർത്തകർ ഇടപെട്ട് അനുനയിപ്പിച്ച് താഴെയിറക്കി.
