ఎడతెరిపిలేని వర్షాలు, భారీ వరదలతో కృష్ణమ్మ పరవళ్లు తొక్కుతోంది. జూరాల జలాశయానికి వరద పోటెత్తుతోంది.
జూరాల పూర్తి స్థాయి నీటిమట్టం 1048 అడుగులు కాగా ప్రస్తుతం 1,039 అడుగులకు చేరింది. ఆల్మట్టి, నారాయణపూర్‌ ప్రాజెక్టుల నుంచి 3,20,000 క్యూసెక్కుల వరదనీరు వచ్చి చేరుతోంది. దీంతో జూరాల ప్రాజెక్టు 32 గేట్లు ఎత్తి 2,97,000 క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని దిగువకు విడుదల చేస్తున్నారు. విద్యుత్‌ ఉత్పత్తి ద్వారా 18,360 క్యూసెక్కుల నీరు నదిలోకి వెళ్తోంది.
శ్రీశైలం జలాశయానికి వరద ప్రవాహం
ఎగువ ప్రాంతాల్లో కురుస్తున్న భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా శ్రీశైలం జలాశయానికి క్రమంగా వరద ఉద్ధృతి పెరుగుతోంది. ప్రాజెక్టులోకి 3,15,576 క్యూసెక్కుల వరదనీరు వచ్చి చేరుతోంది. శ్రీశైలం జలాశయం గరిష్ఠ నీటిమట్టం 885 అడుగులు కాగా.. ప్రస్తుత నీటిమట్టం 854.80 అడుగులకు చేరింది. శ్రీశైలం ప్రాజెక్టు గరిష్ఠ సామర్థ్యం 215.8 టీఎంసీలకు గాను ప్రస్తుతం 91.40 టీఎంసీల నీరు నిల్వ ఉంది. ఎడమగట్టు జలవిద్యుత్‌ కేంద్రంలో విద్యుత్‌ ఉత్పత్తి కొనసాగుతోంది. విద్యుత్‌ ఉత్పత్తి ద్వారా 31,783 క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని విడుదల చేస్తున్నారు.
నాగార్జున సాగర్‌కు వరద ప్రవాహం కొనసాగుతోంది. 24,082 క్యూసెక్కుల వరదనీరు ప్రాజెక్టులోకి వచ్చి చేరుతోంది. 4,840 క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని దిగువకు వదులుతున్నారు.
జలాశయం గరిష్ఠ సామర్థ్యం 590 అడుగులకు గాను 536.4 అడుగుల మేర నీరు ఉంది. 312.04 టీఎంసీల పూర్తి నీటి నిల్వకు గాను 180.91 టీఎంసీల మేర నీరు నిల్వ ఉంది. పులిచింతల ప్రాజెక్టుకు 26,550 క్యూసెక్కుల వరద నీరు వస్తుండగా... రెండు గేట్ల ద్వారా 42,115 క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని దిగువకు వదులుతున్నారు.
