ചൊവ്വാകുലുക്കം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി നാസയുടെ റോബോട്ടിക് മാര്‍സ് ഇന്‍സൈറ്റ് ലാന്‍ഡര്‍. ഏപ്രില്‍ ആറിനാണ് കുലുക്കം ലാന്‍ഡേഴ്സ് സീസ്മിക് എക്സിപിരിമെന്‍റ് ഫോര്‍ ഇന്‍റീരിയര്‍ സ്ട്രക്ചര്‍ റെക്കോഡ് ചെയ്തത്. ആദ്യമായാണ് ചൊവ്വയിലെ കുലുക്കം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതെന്നും വിവരങ്ങള്‍ പരിശോധിക്കുകയാണെന്നും ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.
കുലുക്കം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത് നേട്ടമാണെന്നാണ് ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞർ പറയുന്നത്.
ചൊവ്വയുടെ ഉപരിതലത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് പഠിക്കാന്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ സഹാകരമാകുമെന്നുമാണ് ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞരുടെ അഭിപ്രായം. മാര്‍ച്ച് 14, ഏപ്രില്‍ 10, 11 തീയതികളിലും വളരെ തീവ്രത കുറഞ്ഞ കുലുക്കങ്ങള്‍ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ശാസ്ത്രസംഘം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. എന്നാല്‍, കുലുക്കമാണോ അതോ കാറ്റ് ശക്തിയില്‍ വീശിയതാണോ എന്നും പരിശോധിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
2024ല്‍ ചൊവ്വയിലേക്ക് മനുഷ്യരെ അയക്കാനുള്ള മിഷന് ആരംഭിക്കും.

കുലുക്കം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത് നേട്ടമാണെന്നാണ് ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞർ പറയുന്നത്.

Of the 51 missions attempted across the world so far, a mere 21 had succeeded. But we have prevailed.'

നാസയുടെ ചൊവ്വാ ദൗത്യമായ എംആര്‍ഒയിലെ ക്യാമറയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളതാണ് ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍. കഴിഞ്ഞ പത്തുവര്‍ഷത്തോളമായി ചൊവ്വയുടെ ഉപരിതലത്തിലെ ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ റെക്കോര്‍ഡ് ചെയ്യുകയാണ് ഹൈ റൈസ് എന്ന ക്യാമറ. ചുവന്ന ഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ ഉപരിതല ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ വളരെ വിശദമായാണ് ഇവ ഒപ്പിയെടുക്കുന്നത്.
അടുത്തിടെ തകര്‍ന്ന് വീണ് യൂറോപ്യന്‍ ചൊവ്വ ദൗത്യമായ ഷിയാ പരേലി തകര്‍ന്നു വീണതിന്റെ ചിത്രങ്ങളും ഇവയില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടും. ചൊവ്വയുടെ ഉപരിതലത്തിന്റെ ഘടനയും പ്രത്യേകതകളും വിശദമാക്കുന്ന 2054 ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് നാസ പുറത്ത് വിട്ടത്.
ആഗസ്റ്റ്, സെപ്തംബര്‍, ഒക്ടോബര്‍ മാസങ്ങളില്‍ എടുത്തിട്ടുള്ളവയാണ് ഈ ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍.

ചരിത്രം വഴിമാറാന്‍ പോവുന്ന വിവരങ്ങളായിരിക്കും അവിടെ നിന്നും ലഭിക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങുന്നതെന്നാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷ.
