While praising Indian drug regulatory body at an event in Maharashtra's Pune, Chairman and Managing Director of Serum Institute of India, Cyrus Poonawalla on August 13 said one of the major reasons that SII could launch COVID vaccine quickly was due to forthcoming grants permission. 'One of the major reasons we could launch our COVID vaccine quickly was due to forthcoming grants, permission, encouragement to industries and considerably reduced licensing raj.
