Post the game ended the ICC amended the scorecard of the match on numerous occasions, creating confusion with regards to the outcome of the said fixture.

To start with, the scorecard mentioned that South Africa beat India by four wickets. However, within the next half hour, a scoresheet of the match went viral on social media stating it was India who had won the game by a narrow margin of two runs. A few minutes later, the ICC website also happened to update the scorecard and it eventually showed India as winners.
