केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री राजनाथ सिंह 3 और 4 अगस्त को होने वाले सार्क सम्मेलन में भाग लेने के लिए पाकिस्तान जाएंगे...हालिया तनाव की घटनाओं के बाद भारत के किसी वरिष्ठ नेता का यह पहला पाकिस्तान दौरा होगा। राजनाथ इस वार्ता में शामिल होने के अलावा नवाज सरकार के वरिष्ठ नेताओं और अधिकारियों के साथ द्विपक्षीय वार्ता भी कर सकते हैं। हालांकि यह मौका बहुपक्षीय वार्ता का होगा लेकिन हालिया घटनाक्रम को देखते हुए सबकी नजर भारत और पाकिस्तान पर होगी क्योंकि आतंकी संगठन हिजबुल मुजाहिदीन के कमांडर बुरहान वानी के मारे जाने के बाद कश्मीर घाटी में भड़की हिंसा पर पाकिस्तान के रवैये का भारत ने खुलकर विरोध किया था। पाकिस्तान ने भी आतंकी बुरहान को शहीद बताया था और उसके मारे जाने के विरोध में 'ब्लैक डे' का आयोजन भी किया था। वहीं माना जा रहा है कि राजनाथ सिंह को पाकिस्तान दौरे पर इसलिए भेजा जा रहा है ताकि ये संदेश जाए कि भारत क्षेत्रीय विकास के लिए होने वाली हर वार्ता और गतिविधि का सक्रिय हिस्सेदार है। दक्षिण एशियाई देशों के लिए सार्क बेहद अहम है और भारत इसके प्रमुख सदस्यों में से है। ऐसे में इस कॉन्फ्रेंस में राजनाथ सिंह की गैर-मौजूदगी नकारात्मक छाप छोड़ती है।
